All the tickets for the STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT concert are sold out !
Those who have bought the tickets, see you this Saturday ( 30/10/10 ) .
The door opens at 7.45 p.m. There are two entrance, A & B. It's written on the ticket. The number on your ticket is not for seating but for lucky draw. Make sure you keep it until the end of the show. Come early & enjoy the show.
In conjunction with the ' STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT ' Concert, a competition is held among all the classes. The class with the most tickets sold will receive a prize.
On the concert night ( 30 / 10/ 2010 ) , a lucky draw will be held too. 3 prizes will be given away to the audience .
So , what are you waiting for ? Promote the concert and get as many people to buy the tickets. You may be one of the winners !
A concert will be held this year , jointly organised by the English and Music Panel with the PTA ( Parents & Teachers Association ) , SK Seri Bintang Utara. The Objectives of the concert are : - to promote English - to produce individuals who are confident . - to encourage teamwork - to instil moral values among pupils
Tickets will be sold at RM10 each only ! ***Part of the sales will be donated to the KIWANIS FOUNDATION, PETALING JAYA. Food will be on sale that night too. Come & join us ! Tell everyone about it. You will definitely enjoy yourselves .
Issac Andrew from Year 2 has won a prize for a contest in the Educator magazine.

The last Educator magazine is the final issue for this year. We hope to see more pupils reading the magazine next year as you can gain a lot of knowledge and tips for examinations.

On the 29 July , a group of 6 teachers from our International Collaboration Project school visited us. A lesson was carried out where pupils were taught how to make a kimbab ( Korean rice roll ) . Pupils worked in groups and were demonstrated step by step the process of making kimbab.
The Korean teachers also shared some of the games played by children in Korea. Surprisingly, we have a lot in common.
On the 23 July 2010, prizes were given away to winners of the colouring contest ( Year 1 & 2 )and essay wrting competition ( Year 3 - 6 ) which was carried out earlier of the week. The title of the essay was " My Best Buddy "
3 prizes with 5 consolation prizes were given away for each category. The pupils were also entertained by the KFC mascots which made the day a fun one.
Although we did not make it this year, our team consists of Celynn Chan , Jacey Hen. Ahmad Hariz and Venod Nambiar did their best. Year 5 pupils, 4 of you will be representing our school next year. Start now , work on your vocabulary and spelling. You may be in our team next year !
This year, for the 1st time, the English and Music Panel of SKSBU supported by the PTA of the school will be having a concert at the end of the year. The aim of the concert is to provide a platform for pupils of SKSBU to show their talents and off course to promote English . We are also raising fund for a few enrichment projects which will benefit the pupils of SKSBU. We would also like to donate part of our collection to charity. Tickets will be sold and sponsorship is welcome. On the concert night, food will be sold too. All parents and pupils of SKSBU are invited to join us .

On the 22 June 2010, at 10a.m. , as scheduled, students of 6Bestari had a collaborating lesson with students from our counterpart, Yakdae Elementary School, Korea.The students shared their traditional costumes through the webcam using Skpye. All the students from Korea and SBU were very excited to learn from each other.They also talked about the weather of both countries. Although the session was only 20 minutes, it was a fruitful one. We are looking forward to more lessons in the future.
