Kids Go Green @ English Fun Camp 2011

On the 12 March 2011 , the English Panel of SKSBU had organised an English Fun Camp with the theme " Kids Go Green " . It was held at school from 8a.m. - 4.30 p.m.

100 students of Year 2 attended the camp. 15 Year 6 pupils helped the teachers as facilitators , reporters and photographers.

Particpants learnt about the 3 R - RECYCLE, REDUCE & REUSE through station language games . They were also taught Art & Craft using recycled items such as egg cartons, paper plates , plastic bottles and jars.

All the participants enjoyed the camp, went home with knowledge and a goodie bag each.Prizes were given away to winners of competitions held.

The English Panel would like to thank all the teachers and facilitators who had helped to make this camp a success. We would also like to thank all the parents who have supported the programme. We hope to have the English Camp annually.

SBU-YAKDAE FRIENDSHIP & CULTURE CAMP

20 students and 5 teachers from SKSBU attended a 6days 5 nights camp at Seoul, Korea from 18 - 24 December 2010.

The camp was the highlight of the collaboration project between SKSBU and Yakdae Elementary School . Participants from both countries were staying together at a youth hostel and varieties of cultural activities were held. It was a fruitful and unforgettable experience. Besides sight seeing , pupils were able to gain new knowledge about Korean culture and foster a new friendship which we hope will continue.

It is hoped that the collaboration will continue and more pupils will benefit from it. The English Panel would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made this project a success.
